The beauty that comes with living at Be.Accommodation, is that there are remarkable places to visit that are just a short train trip away. By hopping on a train removes the worries that come with driving and parking your car, and everyone can relax and take in the scenery.
Here is a list of a few of our favourite places to visit by train:
Kiama
Kiama is a stunning seaside town located south of Sydney. Its most famous attraction being the Kiama Blowhole along with their gorgeous beaches and rocky coastline. There is even a 20km long Kiama Coast Walk that opened a few years ago if you are looking to get a bit of exercise in! The trip to Kiama takes about two hours from Sydney’s Central Station.
Woy Woy
If you are searching for a picturesque train ride, embark on a journey north to the Central Coast town of Woy Woy. The train ride takes around 75 minutes from Central station meaning you will be there in no time! Over the last few years Woy Woy has transformed into one of the north coast’s foodie hotspots. Make sure you visit the Bayview Hotel, just across from the station – it has Frankie’s Rooftop Bar, with a Japanese-inspired menu!
The Blue Mountains
You can’t be living in Sydney and not visit the exquisite Blue Mountains in Katoomba! The train ride out west to Katoomba is one of the most popular journeys. We recommend hopping on a limited stops train from the city at 7.30am to be in the mountains by 9.30am, so you can have a full day of visiting the sites and lookouts! Don’t forget to check out the Three Sisters and learn the rich history behind the famous rock formation.
Bowral
The town of Bowral is just a 90-to-120-minute train journey from Central, depending on the time of day. Bowral offers you a taste of English style countryside and is a lovely spot to spend a day. Grab a coffee and visit the famous Gumnut Patisserie for some of the most delicious pastries in NSW. You can also visit the cellar door of Centennial Vineyards, and snap your Instagram pictures in front of the beautiful views!
